Finding eBay Wholesale Suppliers On Alibaba
I’ve heard a lot people complain that finding good eBay Wholesale Suppliers on Alibaba is really a con which is not the case at all because I’ve had a lot of luck on Alibaba. You see most people don’t know how to utilize Alibaba correctly, so they fail at the first attempt.
Now please don’t’ get me wrong, I’ve had my fair share of scam encounters, one on Alibaba (which I learned from) and a few off Alibaba from similar sites. I’ve learned a lot about eBay Wholesale Suppliers, and now I’ll share with you how to use Alibaba to build a business on eBay in less than 30 days.
Introduction eBay Wholesale Suppliers
Now before we begin, I’d like to make you aware that I was a big eBay fanatic from 2006-2009, i then started with my other online venture and eBay was put on the back burner. I recently got sucked back into eBay when a friend approached me needing help. He didn’t know where to start and after reminiscing about the “good ole days” I showed him how i used Alibaba and Tradekey to build my eBay business, the same method i used at the end of 2009 still works today with a tweak here and there. Using what i showed him he was able to create a eBay business which makes him an extra $800-$1000 per month.
Now that doesn’t seem like much, but with a little more effort this can easily be increased.
You have to go into this with the understanding that working with eBay Wholesale Suppliers like Alibaba or similar sites means that you will be importing your products. Importing refers to buying goods outside the country where you live and having them shipped to you in order to sell for a profit. China is the biggest export market and has some of the largest manufactures in the world.
Just think, if you could have an item made for $5 and sell for $20, you’d be in the money! Using sites like tradekey.com and alibaba.com to source your eBay Wholesale Suppliers are good places to start, but you need to go about it a certain way to protect your investment.
Find Your Niche On eBay
Find Your Niche On eBay Begin by asking yourself what your interests are, what you are good at or would like to learn more about. Use your answers in selecting a general eBay category. After you find a general category that sparks your interest, use eBay pulse to do more research and discover the most popular item searches within that category.
Take note of the items in your category that are in high demand, low supply, have high bids, and cost the most money. Also pay attention to some of the current active auctions, you can pick up a trick or two.
Researching Your Potential Niche
Search your niche keyword in Google’s keyword tool. Know how many people are searching
for the item you want to sell. After you know the item you want to sell, find it using the
complete listings. What is the average selling price? How often was the item sold? (I.e. every
day, every other day, etc.)
Now look at sellers selling your item. Look at their other items (not store, list) and click
complete listings to see what was sold and not sold.
Take the title of that particular item and put it in eBay’s search toolbar. Again using completed
listing see what sold and for how much. Get the average price and write it into a spreadsheet
like so. (Don’t forget to average shipping):
| Item | Ave Sold Daily | Ave Sold Weekly | Ave Price | Ave Shipping | Notes |
| iPad Covers | 8 | 56 | $6.99 | $.99 | Black Best Sales |
If you have other potential products, which you should, that haven’t been researched yet, state why you liked that particular product. Save this for later! When you find your product ask yourself these questions. If you answer no to any, start over!!
- Items in demand?
- Do you know the average price?
- Are these products in your niche category?
Note: Be unique. Sell something unique, large and expensive. Keep in mind what willset you apart from competitors!
